Discover Jaco's scenic El Miro viewpoint with a guided hike. An abandoned mansion, El Miro provides one of the best ocean views of Jaco. Our experienced bilingual guide will explain the historical and natural features of the El Miro trail. Common animals encountered include White-faced Capuchin Monkey, Toucan, Scarlet Macaw, and Proboscis Bat. Enjoy fresh cold coconut water along the way and plenty of opportunities to take photos. Transportation to and from Jaco hotels is available.
Parking is available for free along Calle Madrigal near Puddlefish Brewery (note: do not park where the curb is painted yellow) as well as paid parking at the entrance to the trail in front of Miro's Restaurant. The meeting location is at the trail entrance.
Upon arrival at the trailhead guests will be provided with fresh cold coconut water. Then our experienced bilingual guide will safely escort you along the 30 minute hike to the viewpoint, explaining the history of El Miro and pointing out animals along the hike. We will stop at three viewpoints and allow time for photos. At the last viewpoint, we will explore the ruins of the abandoned artwork-adorned El Miro mansion. If taking the tour at sunset, we will stay at El Miro to watch the sunset and depart immediately afterwards.
